Love those Eyes!
Do you not love these beautiful, huge eyes? She is just so cute and her eyes are so big. This was the day of her sisters wedding and the photographer (our sweet friend Karen) took this shot of her. Just the cutest. And for those of you who are wanting more wedding pictures, they are coming. In a few more days you will be able to see how talented our friend and photographer, Karen really is. So keep checking back. I will give you a sneak peek with a picture of Emma and her sister.
Emma Loves Sweet Potatoes!
Well we were not sure how she was going to like eating solid foods because she sure does not like cereal. We were concerned that she might need a little help to get use to eating solids. But she proved me wrong when she finally got something in her mouth that she enjoyed.
She even opened her mouth on her own. Something she would not do when we tried cereal. She would turn her head to get away from the cereal. Now she actually opens her mouth when she sees the sweet potatoes coming towards her mouth. Yeah! This little girl never ceases to amaze me.

Sweet Fragrant Mouth to Kiss
I read this today and I was touched by it. I wanted all the mama's in my world to read it. I still have the opportunity to kiss that little mouth and I have to be reminded how important our job is as a mama.
This quote is from the book Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss. She had just found out she was expecting her 3rd baby.
“She says I shall now have one mouth the more to fill and two feet the more to shoe, more disturbed nights, more laborious days, and less leisure or visiting, reading, music, and drawing. Well! This is one side of the story, to be sure, but I look at the other. Here is a sweet fragrant mouth to kiss; here are two more feet to make music with their pattering about my nursery. Here is a soul to train for God; and the body in which it dwells is worthy all it will cost, since it is the abode of a kingly tenant. I may see less of friends, but I have gained one dearer than them all, to whom, while I minister in Christ’s name, I make a willing sacrifice of what little leisure for my own recreation my other darlings had left me. Yes, my precious baby, you are welcome to your mother’s heart, welcome to her time, her strength, her health, her tenderest cares, to her lifelong prayers!”(Stepping Heavenward, p.228-229).
(Dawn, I know this is going to make you cry)

Giving her away!
Well the day came for us to give our sweet Sami away. What a day that it was. This is the first of many pictures that you all will get to see. It was one of the most joyous days for us but one of the saddest as well. She was radiant! Her dad was able to keep her calm. She was so ready to met her groom. B.J. waited at the altar, his face beaming and a few tears running down his face.
I will post these pics in order (as best as I can) so that you can see just what a special day it really was.
