Treasure the Moments
Well i am sorry to our faithful followers that I have not posted anything lately. We are knee deep in wedding plans. The wedding is 3 days away and we are all so excited but a little bit sad. We are going to miss Samantha in our home. She is a joy and a delight with a little bit of pain in the butt thrown in. She has been a source of joy for me since the day she was born and I am going to miss her terribly. She continues to be a source of joy but in a different way. She is setting her own home up and it is so fun to be a part of it and to watch her turn into a woman. But I will say that is has been the hardest time in my life to watch her pack her room. So for at least the next few days you will not be hearing from me. I will be spending my time enjoying the other woman in my house. A time that I will savor as I watch my little Sam grow up.
Ladies I would encourage you to enjoy every moment of time with your babies as they grow so fast. Enjoy the mundane times and the happy times. Because before you know it you will be watching your daughters put on a white dress and be escorted down the aisle by their daddies and being given to a wonderful man (whom we love so dearly) . Treasure the moments!

Learning is Fun!
We played a game today to help Nicky learn the digraph "ing, ang, ong, ung". We used a fishing pole and we "caught" the consonants.
When Nicky got the word right I put a sticker on his face.
And as you can see Nicky did really well with this game.
And then Nicky wanted in on the action and he started to put them on other unsuspecting family members.
No one was immune. He even chased his brother down and put them on him. And then I convinced Michael to let me take a picture of him.
All in all I think Nicky had a great time. I know that I did! Oh the joy of homeschooling!

Showering Samantha!
Samantha had her first bridal shower on Friday. It was such a nice shower. My best friend, JoAnne and a few wonderful ladies threw it for her. She was truly showered.
Samantha had to wear a tiara and a garter. She was so thrilled. Then she had to sit in the middle of our fellowship hall in a chair and open presents. She was given so many great gifts.
Sam and her little sister stole the show. They both were so beautiful. But then again I am a little biased. Samantha wore her Bride t-shirt and Emma wore her Bridesmaid t-shirt.
We all had a wonderful time and are so glad we could shower Sam and BJ.

Is this really work?
Emma has many new playmates. They come over every week and play with her for an hour. They come to visit Monday, Wednesday and Friday. What a lucky little girl. They play "5 Little Monkeys jumping on the Bed" and they even play on the baby exercise ball. These "friends" are Emma's therapists, one occupational therapist, one physical therapist and an early interventionist. Emma is doing so well they are all not so sure they need to be here every week. But we want to make sure she stays on track. She is doing so awesome. Well above her age range. We feel blessed to have these ladies in Emma's life.
Nicky and Emma!
